If you are looking for a fun San Diego shopping experience, check out the Westfield Mission Valley Mall. The close proximity to multiple major freeways makes Westfield Mission Valley mall a popular shopping option in San Diego. Over one million square feet of retail space, 130 stores and a selection of well-known restaurants combine to create a mall of ultimate convenience known as the Mission Valley Mall.
Six department stores anchor Westfield Mission Valley. There’s discount designer retailers Loehmann’s, Marshall’s and Nordstrom Rack, a Macy’s and Macy’s Men’s and Home, and everyone’s favorite Target, where you can buy practically everything but a kitchen sink.

It had really been a while since I had been here but it appears as though they have made some effort to clean this place up.
Small mall, not very many stores like the neighboring powerhouse, Fashion Valley Mall but if your looking for a few things or don't want the HUGE feel of a larger mall, Mission Valley Westfield might be for you.
I don't remember them having an enclosed food court but they do. Anchored by Macy's and that's it, no other big retailers here.
Overall, a nice little mall, clean, outdoors and parking was not bad at all.

Many Fashion Valley posers hate this place because the mall isn't "upscale" enough for them. Screw them, if you want to have fun and go to some cool stores and a great sports bar come here, you won't regret it.

The Westfield Mall in Mission Valley is a tad better than shitty Horton Plaza in the Gaslamp; but certainly nowhere as nice as Fashion Valley.
The outdoor mall divided into two parts-West and East.
With anchored stores on the west side like Target, Macy's, Nordstrom's. AMC Movie complex, Sport's Chalet, Loehmann's, Bed, Bath and Beyond, and a 24-hour Fitness, this side of the shopping complex is good enough for Joe Cool.
For dining, there are a food court with businesses i.e. Coffee Bean and Tea leaf, See's candies and Seau's Resturant Bar and Grill (all three I'll review later).
Majority of the excitements are in the West side.
Despite the lousy ratings by fellow yelpers, I still prefer this mall as oppose to Horton Plaza.

Mission Valley mall consists of lower end to medium class stores. You won't find any high end stores here, you'll have to go to Fashion Valley Mall for those. This mall has more of the medium type stoers and isn't that bad if you just need to shop. It's somewhat less crowded and the design of the mall looks more run downed. The people you will see around here seem like a younger age group so be aware of that if that bothers you. They also have a theater here which I went to once and it isn't that bad. There is no food court really but food places scattered around.
This mall reminds me of if I were to cut high school and hang around here. haha
