Go scuba diving or snorkeling off San Diego’s shores to see spectacular creatures of the sea.
Snorkeling is a very unique experience and I bust say a very inexpensive adventure, that anyone can try. I was introduced to it by my friend, who just one day offered to me to go snorkel to La Jolla Cove. I was shocked, because I have never done it, I had no gear for it and I was not even sure if I need any kind of permit or special training for it ???? Obviously, my friend Danny have done it before so he knew where to go and what to get to get me started. After quick stop at Wal***t I’ve got basic snorkeling equipment, goggles and a tube and we were off to La Jolla Cove.
It was a lot of fun to explore underwater creatures. Please do not thing that I was diving like a pro, just putting on a pair of goggles and submerging my face in to the water I could see fish, little crabs and other creatures in the shallow waters, that you could never thing they are so close to you. You do not need any permits and you don't have to go deep in to the water - the deepest you may need to go is chest deep.
With broad expanses of the Pacific Ocean nearby, San Diego offers some excellent snorkeling opportunities. La Jolla Coves and the La Jolla ecological preserve are some of the most popular spots for San Diego snorkeling. Both of these spots feature shallow coral reefs and underwater kelp forests that are perfect for exploring. www.snorkeling.info
